Believe in what you do, and if you don't believe in it, do something different
Answer all mail by return of post
Don't apply for anything that costs money
Keep a tidy desk but let the floor take care of itself
Do not let the cat on the keyboard
Make only the work that is absolutely necessary; all the rest is either therapy or pollution
Never work in media that are smarter than you are
Keep your art separate from your livelihood
Only collaborate with strangers
Avoid gallery openings, especially your own
